Experience

As a graduate of USC Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, my education has equipped me with comprehensive knowledge in social work, specializing in serving diverse populations across micro, mezzo, and macro levels. I have 8+ years’ experience working with children, teens, and families in various roles and settings including the following: clinics, foster care/DCFS, schools, inpatient hospitals, outpatient services, and in private practice settings. I worked as an ABA therapist for several years, in this role, I helped children and families that are neurodivergent with learning new emotional regulation skills and life skills for developmental delays (autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, attachment, behavioral issues). Additionally, while working as a social worker for 5+ years in different settings, I’ve provided therapeutic mental health services for individuals, families, couples, and groups. I’ve worked with children, teens, adults, as well as elderly in identifying barriers/challenges/limitations to meeting the needs of our clients and different ways to navigate hardships throughout their lives.

Specialties

My clinical specialties include working with children, teens, and young adults, working through anxiety, depression, mood disorders, PTSD, ADHD, building self-esteem, generational trauma, attachment issues, parenting skills, and developmental delays. I am EMDR trained in working with trauma; I hope to help you heal from trauma and/or other distressing life experiences. Throughout my career, I have developed a diverse set of skills and experiences that equip me to provide holistic, client-centered therapy. I have facilitated healing through a variety of therapeutic modalities, always tailoring my approach to meeting the unique needs and preferences of each client; those approaches include: EMDR Trauma-Informed Approach, Mindfulness, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I am bilingual and find honor in offering sessions in Spanish, language barriers are challenging while looking for therapeutic services and I am hopeful in bridging that gap in the community. I bring a multicultural perspective that enriches my ability to connect authentically with clients from diverse backgrounds.

More About Me

I was born and raised in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago. I had the privilege of living in California and Arizona for a few years; I do miss the blazing sun but nothing beats being back with close family and lifelong friends. I enjoy being active, hiking, and long drives! For self-care I love to paint, color, indulge in skin care, and binge-watching TV series with my partner. Fun fact about me, I recently started my powerlifting journey and enjoy empowering other women to do the same, it’s not only about physical strength but mental strength and the people cheering you on the sidelines.
